I’ve always made things because I enjoy making them. Drawing, painting and working by hand are things I come back to because they slow me down and give me something quiet to focus on.
THEARTOF.JO is a way of sharing some of that work — paintings and drawings made slowly, in small numbers, without turning something I love into something that needs to hurry.

Each artwork is available as an edition of just 10 prints.
The number is deliberately small. Making art is something I do because I enjoy it — it slows me down, clears my head and gives me something quiet to return to.
Keeping each edition limited means I can share the work without turning something I love into something that needs to hurry.

About Jo
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. Making things by hand was simply part of growing up, and it’s something I’ve always returned to for comfort and enjoyment.
These days I work mainly with ink, watercolour, gouache and acrylic, often beginning with photographs of places, colours or small details I want to return to.
THEARTOF.JO grew from a simple idea. I know I’ll always make things, whether I share them or not, so THEARTOF.JO became a way of letting some of them find their way out into the world.
